A Texas man faces a trio of felony drug charges after Ohio officers allegedly found a kilogram of heroin in a false compartment in his vehicle.
Felix F. Castro, 21, of Mission, Texas, was found asleep in his vehicle at the Petro Shopping Center in New Paris, Ohio, just over the Ohio/Indiana state line.
When Preble County sheriff's deputies attempted to check on his welfare, Castro was found to be excessively nervous, according to a news release from Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson.
Castro told the deputies he was from Texas and was traveling through Ohio to find work.
A K-9 unit from the Indiana State Police was called to the scene and alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. A probable cause search found a false compartment in the rocker panel. In there, deputies found about a kilogram of heroin, the release said.

He will be back on the street shortly, and he knows it.
With a paltry $200,000 cash bond, don't expect to see him around for court.
ReplyDeleteHow many people do you know with 200k cash to put up for a 21yo? Kilo of heroin is worth about $50k. He was just a courier.
