Movement conservative leader Richard Viguerie, a long-time supporter of Ted Cruz, equated the Texas Senator’s refusal to honor his pledge to support the Republican nominee Donald Trump to a “political suicide.”
In an article titled “Ted Cruz Committed Political Suicide On National TV,” Viguerie wrote at his ConservativeHQ website:
The much anticipated speech Ted Cruz delivered to the Republican National Convention last night was a soaring anthem to liberty that lacked but one thing to make it, and Ted Cruz, great; an endorsement of the Trump – Pence ticket.

Trump doesn't need an endorsement from lying Ted. Ted Cruz has some serious issues as well as this 'man' who held the vet and I would bet both will be dealt with in prison.
ReplyDeleteI agree 100%. I was looking at Cruz in 8 years or as a SCOTUS nominee. But by not fulfilling his pledge, he lied to We The People. His petty tantrum has cost him any advance in his career ... and maybe his seat. He has certainly cost himself my future vote.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if he committed political suicide but he did manage to accomplish the unthinkable. He turned Donald Trump into a victim.
ReplyDeleteWho cares about endorsements, make up your own mind.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of his seat, Trump should put a foot in it.
ReplyDeleteSelfish, immature loser!
ReplyDeleteHe is the leader of the stupid arm of the Republican party who would rather our country have an incompetent liberal running this country than a member of his own party. His interest is not making this country great again. i hope his constituents take notice and don't allow him to hold office again.

ReplyDeleteIt was a fine speech but his conscious omission of an endorsement was a critical error. All he had to say was "We had our differences but going forward there's no question he's the better candidate in November. Please vote for Trump."
Would have come off as an adult and a statesman. Instead he looks churlish.
