  3. 5:53, I wondered that too. In years past, it was the responsibility of the landowner. Is it still? Or, is this the county's responsibility? Looks like somebody dropped the ball......

  4. Clearly this was the work of Wicomico County enviro wingnut activist democrat loons. I suspect they borrowed a scuba suit from GW Bush, the same scuba suit he used to blow up the levees of Baton Rouge during hurricane Katrina. It was reported that just prior to the explosion of the dam, a group of kayakers were seen speeding downstream to a VW micro bus with peace signs on it. Yup, my sisters brothers best friend heard it at 31 Flavors.

  5. Maybe if we spent money on the roads etc. instead of new chairs/floors at the civic center and that Liquor License the roads wouldn't be falling apart. Maybe that old guy with the will is trying to tell you something Bob.

  7. Why should Wicomico County taxpayers have to pay to fix this dam again! This is the fourth time I know of that the property owner has let the dam breach. The dam is the responsibility of the property owner. So what if some residents have to drive six more miles around to get to the hardware store, it's still a lot closer than driving to Delmar or Salisbury. The owner of the hardware store wants the County to spend thousands of dollars just for his benefit, that's not right for the rest of the taxpayers. Many other more used county roads need that money spent on improvements on them!!

  8. some people on here just think they know everything. The dam was signed over to the county years ago the county should of opened the gates and the owner of the hardware store is in the historical society and that road and the properties around it have alot of historical history.I dont know if they should reopen it or not but i do know that people comment on here rather they know the truth or not.

  9. The old guy that lives there thinks he owns that end of the county. He's been known to run people off fishing from the county road. Make him pay for the repairs.

  10. You must be the one who thinks they know everything, Barren Creek dam was never signed over to the County, check your facts before posting. The County has never owned that dam. I think the dam on Rewastico road may have been signed over to them prior to improvements they made there. No reason for the County to take on the expense and liability of owning Barren Creek dam.
