Comey: Hillary's FBI Testimony Wasn't Under Oath Or Recorded, But It Would Still Be a Crime To Lie

During testimony before Congress on Thursday, FBI Director James Comey stated that the FBI’s interview with presumptive Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was not under oath or recorded, but it still would be a crime to lie to the FBI.

Comey stated that he did not personally interview Clinton, and did not talk to all of the “five or six” who did interview Clinton.

He was then asked, “did she testify or talk to them under oath?” Comey answered, “No.” But added that “it’s still a crime to lie to us.”

When asked if there was a transcript of the interview, Comey stated that there wasn’t one because the interview wasn’t recorded, but there was an analysis of Clinton’s interview.

  1. It blows me away that they didn't record. How many lawyers were at her side bargaining with the FBI for that concession?

If only I had my emojis right now...the pictures I would make to convey the laughter.

He wasn't even THERE, people. It was all for show. You popcorn lovers out there want a real show, look at the events leading up to this 'voluntary meeting.' God, some people just don't connect the dots - even if their lives depended on it.

This Clinton style damage control. Create a sh**storm then look like they're 'cooperating' so the little people don't get wise to the ruse! This is business as usual for crime conglomerates. If you think Clinton isn't corrupt or guilty, I've got a bridge I'd like to sell ya...

  3. What is wrong with this agency? What a sloppy job. Comey should have been the one doing the interviewing, it should have been recorded and Hillary should have been sworn in. What a freakin joke of a department, er I mean what a sham they are trying to pull on all Americans.

  4. Agreed 12:01. It was sloppy. Too sloppy considering Comey's history. I would ascertain that he had no idea she was going to show up that morning. We don't have his diary as to his whereabouts that day. Now, think about this; What would be a better way to circumvent the bad optics if the one department headed by a Republican were made to look like a complete bumbler?

There's something more to this story that we'll learn one way or another. I can't believe Comey, a most upstanding law enforcement and lawyer, would make a recommendation after a yearlong investigation based on a 3-1/2 hour interview with the suspect that wasn't under oath. Of course, what do oaths mean to Hillary. She's now looking at Perjury for Benghazi hearings. She's not above lying and I would say she probably lied her pantsuit off last Saturday.

It's time for people to step back and look at the big picture. Stop just looking at one event and think that's the smoking gun. Smoking guns aren't always explicit. Most are shrouded in oblique sequences of one event leading to another.

Try putting on your Joe Friday hats and look at ALL the evidence. Stop compartmentalizing it. If you want to be armchair investigators, why not do it with finesse and good old fashioned common sense.

  5. Comey is NOT being truthful with 'we the people'. Read his history on how he has helped the Clinton's with their many lies, corruption and deception.

  7. It isn't sloppy for Pete's sake.

It is criminal corruption on the highest order.

Wake up. Please use your head.

  8. Without any doubt whatsoever, if any of "we, the people" were being interrogated in a criminal investigation regarding state secrets and who we gave them to, the ENTIREencounter owuld not only be recoreded, but videotaped as well. No question at all. For the serfs, that is.
These guys were supposed to be (in Comey's own words) "the best". I'm sure some had law degrees. And they DIDN'T do anything other than chat over tea??
Two sets of laws. It's undeniable and in your face. No matter how stupid the explanation sounds, they STILL say it (and stick to it, lol) and earnestly expect you to BELIEVE it, no matter the contradiction before your very eyes.
If the FBI Director said, on national TV, that I had done all the things he said he factually found that SHE did, I wouldn't go outside for weeks. Shame and embarrassment would haunt me.
SHE laughs (read that again) and runs for PRESIDENT!!
THAT is the likely next leader of the free world??
You should pray the police treat you one tenth as well, but they won't.
    Two sets of laws.

    Keep cheering.
