Black Lives Matter Activist Cites Brutality By COLLEGE-EDUCATED COPS To Demand College For Cops

Black Lives Matter activist and professional social justice warrior Shaun King now wants a law requiring all police officers in the United States to have college degrees. To make his case, he cites several police brutality cases involving — wait for it — college-educated police officers.

King, who rose to prominence following the shooting death of Michael Brown, sets forth his bizarre argument in the New York Daily News — in the fifth installment of a “25-part series exploring solutions for police brutality in America.”

“Some of the most known cases of police brutality in America, like the violence suffered by Rodney King, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, Walter Scott and Sandra Bland, were all caught on film,” King begins.

“Study after study has proven that requiring police officers to earn a four-year degree, any four-year degree in fact, would radically improve virtually every metric essential to good policing,” he writes.

  1. Don't expect anything different from this dummy. His quote on one percent doesn't sound correct today. What the heck has a degree got to do with what he references. Most LEO's I've known have four years or more of advanced education for the past twenty or thirty years. Not to mention the police academy and in-service training throughout their career.

  2. Houston, we have a problem!

Baltimore is looking at altering its hiring specs so those who abused drugs can join the force. Every police force is eager to hire officers from minority backgrounds.

So now they have to finish college, too? Almost nobody gets done in 4 years anymore.

Many officers have Associates degrees before hiring, and a good number have Bachelors so a lot of progress has been made there.

Unfortunately the 'customer base' they deal with much of the time is regressing, and are benchmarks for every type of dysfunction and crime.

At the end of the day, All Lives Matter.
