Video: Police hunt arsonists after Walmart fireworks aisle set ablaze


Authorities say a Walmart in west Phoenix was evacuated after a group of people set off fireworks inside the store.

The Phoenix Fire Department says the resulting flames were extinguished before spreading to a nearby display of charcoal, lighter fluid and propane.

Police are still looking for the arsonists.

Fire investigators believe at least two men and one woman were involved in the incident that happenend last Wednesday evening.

  2. Phoenix has bangers,so this may have gotten loud.Someone could have walked up to him and shot him & gotten away with it unless surveillance cameras picked it up.

  3. Who was the genius that put fireworks near lighter fluid and propane? Why was propane inside the store anyway?

    1. Probably the little green cylinders meant for grills lanterns etc. Lots of stores carry them inside. Tons of flammables are inside of stores. Spray paint, air freshener, fix a flat, hair spray, pretty much everything in an aerosol can. I was camping once and my dad tossed a small bag of trash in the fire for some stupid reason. He didn't realize there was a half can of fix-a-flat in it. It made an explosion like you would not believe! Knocked a couple of us on our asses, burning logs and embers were thrown everywhere. The rangers came about 10 mins later and said they could hear it from their office almost a mile away lol. Burned my eyebrows/eyelashes and hair pretty good.
