The Problem Is Not Guns!

  2. And the proliferation of guns. There is no one single solution

  3. No it isn't any of those things either.

It is intelligence agencies conducting false flag operations against citizens in order to disarm them.

I am a staunch supporter of 2nd Amendment rights, I would even argue that any regulation or restriction at all on any weapon is in conflict with the Constitution and the founders intent of said Amendment.

But this post is flawed on almost every point. Let me break it down as to why:

    1) Its hearts without God.

I am no expert on this subject, but I speculate that most of the "terrorist's" would say they had "God" on their side. This is not just those of the Islamic persuasion. As evidence I present Robert Lewis Dear, Dylan Roof, and Timothy Mcviegh.

I can't think of one instance where there was a mass shooting, and the killer declared the reason they did it was that they had "no god in their heart"

    2) Homes without discipline, schools without prayer, and courts without justice.

When over 75% of the US population self identifies as Christian... how do you say any of these things? How do any of these things equal mass shootings?

If they are true, this means that Christian homes have no discipline, when Christian Children go to school they stop being Christian, and that the Christians who have overwhelmingly controlled the Government and the Courts have acted without justice.

The numbers just don't add up... the conclusions don't make sense. To me, it looks like another attempt at furthering the delusion that there is some sort of Christian persecution in America, when there is no such thing.

If you were half as smart as you assume you are, then the rest of us would be genius.

  7. They don't have the true God in their heart. If they did, they would never even think of conducting such horrific acts.

You've posited no argument of substance, yet chosen to attack ad hominem. I am open to any ideas you have to offer, yet you've not offered anything of substance, which is disappointing. I refer to you the irony of your frivolous posting.

    @6:09

This is the "no true scottsman" argument, which is not logically sound. These folks argue they do have the true god in their hearts, and there is no way to determine the truth or veracity of their, or your claim, so each logically fails.

You were right about one thing. You are no expert.

God of the Bible and Allah are not the same. Robert Lewis Dear, Dyland Roof and Timothy Mcviegh were not Christians. There is nothing in the New Testament they were following when they did those atrocities. There is a very important commandment that says to NOT kill. You will find just the opposite when reading the quran.

Many can claim they affiliate with the Christian faith but do not walk the walk. They still know right from wrong. They know that killing is wrong but God gives us free will to choose our path in life. Many stray. I can claim to be a mechanic because I have a car in my garage but that just isn't so.

Even the wackos at Westboro Baptist Church are not killing people because it goes against everything that is in the bible.

You wanted God out of schools, courts and everything else. I guess he has obliged.

If you do not believe in the bible and its teachings maybe you should refrain from using a source you don't believe in.

  11. There is a photo-shopped photo of the Gay club shooter with the confederate flag going around. Obama will be saying that was also part of the cause.

Indeed I am not an expert on religious persuasion with respect to mass shootings, I clarified that in my opening... though I noticed you did not. I wonder as to the intent of your opening declaration?

Unfortunately there are people who would argue that the Abrahamic religions share a common deity i.e. ARE the same, that however is irrelevant to this conversation.

The post claimed these shootings are happening because people had no "God" in their hearts... yet I posted 3 examples, which can be verified, of self identifying Christians who have committed these atrocities. Were the argument sound, people committing these acts would never ever identify as any religion, including Christian. In fact, a simple study into the religious persuasion of prison populations would discredit this claim as well (+/- 70% prison population self identify Christian in America).

You also apply the "No true Scottsman" argument, which can be dismissed.

You claim your holy text commands not to kill. Yet it is full of examples of genocide and infanticide commanded by it's deity, to deny this means you have never read it.

If you believe that your God has a plan, would it be fair to assume what I wanted is irrelevant? It is what your deity wanted? If this is the case, wouldn't it be silly to argue that "God" out of schools and courts (which I posit has not happened) is a cause of this violence... because ipso facto you have now made your God responsible... which I am sure you would not argue for... or would you?
