Observing the “gross sin and wickedness” in the world, evangelist Billy Graham drew a parallel with today’s society and “the days of Noah,” when the “great Day of Judgment draws ever nearer,” and a “catastrophe as great and terrible” as the flood awaits those who refuse “to enter the ark of salvation.”
“The days of Noah are returning to the Earth, and a catastrophe as great and terrible awaits those who refuse to enter into the ark of salvation, which is Jesus Christ,” said Rev. Graham in a commentary in the May edition of Decision magazine, which is published by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA).
“The Bible many times warns that toward the end of history as we know it, there will be a return to pre-flood conditions of gross sin and wickedness,” says Dr. Graham. “The Scripture says concerning the people of Noah’s day, ‘Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually’ (Genesis 6:5).”
He then notes that in Matthew 24, Christ warned, “As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”
“As the great Day of Judgment draws ever nearer, we see these very things happening about us,” says the 97-year-old Graham.
“It would seem,” he continues, “that we were reading from an article in a modern magazine as we read Paul’s word to Timothy, ‘But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”

ReplyDeleteEven so Lord , come quickly!
I don't think one needs to be very spiritual to see that what he says is true.. this world has become so full of evil and demonic wickedness that the end cannot be far off. The anxiety level of society is dramatically higher than it was just 20 years ago. Even non-believers can sense that the end is at hand, and the fear of it is gripping their hearts.
ReplyDeleteThere is a place of safety. You can rest in the assurance that no matter what happens you will be safe, secure, and full of joy.
It's up to you. God has already done His part. The perfect Lamb was sacrificed to atone for our sin and redeem us from it. All you have to do is accept that sacrifice and apply it to your life. If you sincerely repent and ask God to forgive you, and help you live for Him, He will.
He loves you dearly, and He's waiting to hear from you.
9:20 truth!
ReplyDeleteThis is so true! I pray for naysayers on this blog to experience the power of God in some way before they take their last breath on earth and surrender their soul to Him.

the making.
The coming floods aren't divine. They're man made. Commonly referred to as global warming.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't say a flood was coming, 4:00. He said a catastrophe as bad as the flood.
ReplyDeleteApocalypse.
Tribulation, such has never been seen before.
It's all in the Bible.
Wow it is sad that it is 2016 and people still fall for religion and hacks like him. Yep, it's all in the bible. Just like everything else. That's all religious people say. The bible is not and never was gods word. They are stories of people by people. And on top of it the church decided what stories you get. Last time i checked god doesn't live in the vatican, and never did. Study history and if you're smart enough you can figure out why religion wss created. If not, bury your pitiful head back in your bible. It was meant for the unintelligent like you anyway. Keep praying. Jesus will surely return to take you to paradise.just like all those stupid muslims get promised 72 virgins and fall for that bs. Sad.
