BALTIMORE (WJZ) — There’s a standoff at City Hall over threatened cuts in funds for after school programs.
Activists, parents, students and teachers marched Monday, upset Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is threatening to cut some of the $4.2 million allocated for after-school programs.
City Council leaders heard their cry and pledged to effectively shut down city government by not approving a proposed budget unless the mayor agrees to restore the funding.
