Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump said Friday he’s not softening his stance on a temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States, but also said proposals he puts forward now are really suggestions because he’s not the president.
“No, I’m not softening my stance at all, but I’m always flexible on issues,” Mr. Trump said on NBC’s “Today” program. “I am totally flexible on very, very many issues, and I think you have to be that way.”
“But I’m not softening my stance,” he said. “We have a major problem and we have to look at the problem. We have to solve the problem.”
