Detectives Arrest Five in String of Burglaries
Sussex County, DE – State Police Detectives have arrested five people in connection with two separate string of burglaries in Sussex County.
Matthew T. Miller, 36, and Kimberly Parsons, 44, both of Millsboro, were taken into custody on Tuesday May 3, 2016, after an investigation into a series of burglaries revealed they were the primary suspects. Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Unit at Troop 4 began looking into similarities between some burglaries that were committed between the beginning of December 2015 and middle of March 2016 ranging from Millsboro to Ocean View. The suspects would break into the sheds and remove items such as chainsaws, generators, and power tools, and then go to area pawns shops to exchange the items for cash. It was learned through the investigation that these burglaries were being committed while Parsons was conducting her job as a newspaper delivery person and Miller would ride along with her.
Kimberly Parsons was charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd, two counts of Conspiracy 2nd, three counts of Theft, two counts of Criminal Mischief, Selling Stolen Property, and Falsifying Business Records. She was arraigned at JP2 and remanded to the Delaware Department of Corrections on $11,500.00 secured bond. Additional burglary charges are forthcoming from the investigation.
Matthew Miller was charged with Burglary 2nd, four counts of Burglary 3rd, Attempted Burglary 3rd, six counts of Conspiracy 2nd, five counts of Theft, and six counts of Criminal Mischief. She was arraigned at JP2 and remanded to the Delaware Department of Corrections on $31,200.00 secured bond.
In a separate investigation, Sheila L. Quebral, 46, Damien Andell, 28, and Kevin E. Andell, 49 , all of Millsboro, were taken into custody on Wednesday May 4, 2016, after an investigation into a series of car burglaries revealed they were the primary suspects. Detectives began looking into similarities between some burglaries that were committed between the middle of March 2016 to the end of April in which a series of thefts from cars were occurring in the Millsboro and Gumboro areas. The suspects would break into the vehicles and remove items such as GPS, wallets, cash, and in a couple of cases, firearms. The suspects would then go to area pawns shops to exchange the items for cash.
Damien Andell was charged with Burglary 2nd, nine counts of Burglary 3rd, three counts of Theft of a Firearm, three counts of Conspiracy 2nd, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, nine counts of Theft, Unlawful Use of a Credit Card, Criminal Mischief, and Criminal Trespass 3rd. He was arraigned at JP2 and remanded to the Delaware Department of Corrections on $66,500.00 secured bond.
Kevin Andell was charged with four counts of Burglary 3rd, Theft of a Firearm, three counts of Conspiracy 2nd, and four counts of Theft. He was arraigned at JP2 and remanded to the Delaware Department of Corrections on $26,000.00 secured bond.
Sheila Quebral was charged with four counts of Burglary 3rd, Theft of a Firearm, three counts of Conspiracy 2nd, and six counts of Theft, two counts of Falsifying Business Documents, and two counts of Selling Stolen Property. She was arraigned at JP2 and remanded to the Delaware Department of Corrections on $32,000.00 cash bond.
