Breaking News: Bay Bridge East Bound Closed

I don't know for sure what happened but as we traveled west over the bay bridge towards Annapolis we noticed the east bound span was not moving. There was a small car in the left lane with drivers side door open but no one was there! Saw police boats in water below. Fire and police were blocking the flow of traffic approx 200 yards back. Traffic was backed up for miles beyond the toll plaza.

    In my opinion the police need to stop the drama. IF this was a jumper, tow their damn vehicle off the bridge and let motorists through.

    Joe. This was a jumper. Police were able to get to him and he is in custody now.

    Yes, if he was a jumper and jumped, it is over, move the car and forget it. Recovery is in the water now, no need to jam traffic.

    Really 8:03? How will food get to the stores? How about gas? Seed the farmers need? Mail? All those things come across that bridge. Think before you speak.

    This is how the cos show force people the sooner you get that the better...

    They have to show you why they need 15 cops to show up to 1 call every time... I mean hell, if you watch YouTube videos of people cop blacking as they say, you will see cops out right leave a scene of the crime or traffic violations and go harass the guy filming... If you have all the time in the world to harass people recording you, which is protected under law, then clearly they have to many police siting around doing nothing and getting paid for it...

    Remember back when a fire truck came to a car accident and the cop wanted him to move it and he said no because it was a safety thing yet roid rage cop tried to lock up a firefighter while trying to rescue someone...

    Sorry 8:15 but you may need to do some research because most of your gas & oil come by barge (water). We do not need that bridge, I agree to close it! We have 2 main water ways to import and export anything we need. How do you think Smith Island & Tangier Island get their mail??? There are no bridges to the islands.
