Trey was not found guilty of murder by a Wicomico jury but was found guilty of a voluntary manslaughter. Wicomico circuit court judge James Sarbanes sentenced Trey to four yrs above the maximum guidelines in front of an emotional split court room.
Trey Harcum should be eligible for parole in 5 years. He plans to return to Wicomico county when released.
serve your sentence trey. We believe in you and stand by your side. Your sentence was harsh but you are still here.
ReplyDeleteLee's family up there making him look innocent. Trey should've walked. Lee threatened the wrong man finally with his gun. Only a matter of time. Then Lee's wife crying she can't afford her home and upkeep as his brother saying he is scared Trey will come and finish them all when released. You could smell the bull in the air. Wonder how Sarbanes was paid off for that jacked sentence to be given.
ReplyDeleteHere we go!! He killed someone. Unless he was in imminent danger of dying then he deserves the time. I admit I do not know all the details, but I do trust Sarbanes' judgement. Suck it up people and move on!
ReplyDeleteTrey is the most gentle person I've ever known. This is so unfair to be beaten after being knocked out and it was proven he suffered a concussion and could not think right. Trey can't even turn his head in either direction this judgement is not right by any means.
ReplyDelete5:08 if you believe in Sarbanes judgment you better get off whatever you're on.
ReplyDeleteThat's what you get with a public defender! Family has plenty of money to hire the best.
ReplyDelete10 years......? He must be white.
ReplyDeleteHope he appeals!! I personally know this man to be a very fine young man it's sad situation. In most other state this would have been self defence.
ReplyDeleteThis is just wrong in so many ways. Trey is a good guy & he was defending himself. What the heck was Sarbanes thinking giving him 10 years?
ReplyDeletePublic defenders work for the court system, not the client.
ReplyDeleteTrey should be serving life in prison.
ReplyDeleteSarbanes must be removed.
ReplyDelete5 years for murder damn shame! hell I'm sure people who have done way less have gotten more!
ReplyDeleteIf he was black and sold drugs he would be doing life
ReplyDeleteBut he isnt black and wasnt selling drugs. what does his race have to do with it? I can pull up a hundred articles of blacks killing, robbing, selling guns and drugs, and they get minimal sentences.
DeleteGo back to plotting how to start a race war.
10:42 please enlighten us on these 100's of articles and where to find them
DeleteJudge Jimmy should have reclused himself.
ReplyDeleteHistory of political opposition.
Nepotism rules.
To all of you crying this sentence is too harsh WTF?? This man took another man's life PERIOD!!! All this BS about self defense us a joke, he was a louse cannon and came unglued. How do you go from tackling a man and chocking him out until his eyes roll back in his head to leaving and coming back with a piece of steel and bashing his head in. He should definitely be serving life. He better keep that rage where he's headed he'll need it. "I'm afraid of what might happen to me in prison" won't cut in there son put your big boy panties on
ReplyDelete11:42....idiot go to the Chicago Tribune and the Baltimore Sun homepages.....not one white person acquitted......can't say the same about the cases of color in those two cities!!!!
ReplyDeletelets remember 2:10 Trey was knocked out and beaten in the head and face before he was able to stop his Uncle and after his Uncle who stared the fight in the first place poor man he threatened to kill Trey. Trey now has a concussion and can't think properly, his purpose was to knock his Uncle out before he got to his gun.Oh and by the way he did not tackle his Uncle. the chock hold was how Trey was able to get his Uncle off of him.
