3 brothers indicted in shootout that killed Prince George's County detective

A grand jury on Tuesday indicted the three brothers accused in a shootout that led to the death of Prince George's County Police Detective Jacai Colson.

The jury indicted Michael Ford on several charges, including second-degree murder. His brothers, Elijah and Malik Ford, were indicted on lesser charges.

Police said Michael Ford shot at the police precinct in Hyattsville while his brothers sat in the car and recorded the shooting.

Officers returned fire. That's when Colson, who was undercover, was mistakenly killed by a fellow officer. Colson's death remains under investigation.
