Virginia Gov. McAuliffe Vetoes Three Pro-Gun Bills

And we’re back to gun control…
From Guns:
Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) gave thumbs down Thursday to three pieces of legislation he said would threaten public safety by weakening Virginia’s gun laws.
Among the proposals scuttled, two, SB 626 and HB 766, would have enabled domestic violence victims with a protective order against another individual to carry a concealed handgun for up to 90 days without a permit, while the third, HB 560, would have eased the Commonwealth’s law on the accidental display of a weapon.
In a veto message to lawmakers, McAuliffe held up a compromise deal he made with state Republicans in February which included taking guns away from domestic abusers as reason to veto the new legislation seeking to speed up the process to allow victims to carry a legal firearm.
“Domestic violence situations can be extremely volatile, and all too often result in serious injury or death,” said McAuliffe. “Senate Bill 626 (and House Bill 766) encourages victims of domestic violence to introduce deadly weapons into an already dangerous situation, an approach that I believe could have significant negative public safety consequences.”

  2. McAuliffe is an idiot, if there was ever a time that a person felt that they needed extra protection then this would be it. What if the victim (assuming that it is a woman) gets killed by an overpowering male? Well, I suppose that was the way that God intended it to play out?

Just my 2 cents, I could be wrong.

  3. I have always thought of Virginians as pretty level headed, down to earth people. That has all changed now because they are still electing Democrats like this liberal Obama loving, anti- Constitution crybaby.

  4. Don't blame McAuliffe!! The blame goes to the local, Virginia and National Republican Party that refused to support the Republican Candidate for Governor. That is correct the Republicans failed to support the Republican Candidate and this is what they got. To top that off they allowed a Third Party Candidate to enter the race to steal votes from the Republican Candidate. What's wrong with that you say? The Third Party candidate was actually a Democrat who filed as a 3rd Party candidate knowing they were going steal votes from the Republican.

This is a true story and proof that the Establishment is ruining our Party. This is exactly what they are doing to Trump as we speak.

Do not let this happen again. Get all your friends, family and anyone to the polls to vote for Trump.

Time to go to war with the Establishment!
