Just like revenues change every year, so SHOULD taxes. Both directions; up and down. That's how good accounting works. And that's how budgets stay balanced.
This is just for political purposes. This isn't actually all that great from a fiscal administration viewpoint.
For as long as we've done without, or made do with very little, I appreciate the effort to at least attempt to give county employees a raise. Hopefully the council will not cut this; 3% is a good start.

180 k for a compensation study for 2 departments looks like you could take that 180 and compensate the ones being studied.

What a waste of money!

ReplyDeletePlease include other departments that have equipment operators,crew leaders and other blue collar workers who are underpaid.
