Law Enforcement are conducting an investigation referencing allegations of funding missing from the Delmar Elementary PTA.
Sources said, at Monday night’s meeting we were shocked and dismayed that one of our own parents allegedly stole thousands of dollars from the PTA account.
Also stated, one of our own parents allegedly stole thousands of dollars from the PTA account that we as parent and volunteers worked so hard to raise.
They went on to say, This is not a revenge plot yet a lesson that you do not steel from children.
No charges have officially been filed as of yet.
Sticky fingers in Delmar, was this the same one as Delmar Little League ?
ReplyDeleteLike Salisbury the good ole boy network.
DeleteNothing was stolen from delmar LL. Get your facts , don't always believe in Gossip. Hide behind anonymous when pointing the finger shame on you.
Deleteand they can't spell steal?
ReplyDeleteshouldn't steal either....
ReplyDeleteIs this the WCBOE or the Delmar School District?
ReplyDeleteWhat difference does it make? Stealing is stealing. Oh I get now let's blame Frederkson.
DeleteWCBOE
ReplyDeleteSame thing happened at Pinehurst years ago.
ReplyDeleteThere are several indicators to look for in a group or person that has illegal actions. One being the most often encountered trait, is defense. People/groups that get very angry or confrontational when questioned are a sure sign that something is not right. Another is the ostrification and intimidation of people or individuals that question the scam artist. More people need to be out spoke and question everything. I am glad someone had the courage to stand up for the children, they are often targets of scam artist. If you are involved I in a group or organization question everything, put pressure on people it will help limit this kind of activity
ReplyDeleteHow about culvert look into Rick politt spending? ...
ReplyDeleteHow is that even relevant to this post?
DeleteIdiot.
Not sure if this is the right place for this post but wasn't sure if people knew that there currently is a house bill (HB 352) in the general assembly that would eliminate the audit performed by the state of local school systems. Based on what we saw in Wicomico County I would think these audits should continue. Wasn't sure if anyone else knew about this. Seems like this would lessen the accountability of the school systems.
ReplyDeleteLocal school audits are a must. History says so.
ReplyDeleteThen a bunch of wicomico teacher would Be in prison.
DeleteHow so?
DeleteTo set the record straight........Delmar Elementary School transactions and accounts are a completely SEPARATE ENTITY than the Delmar PTA. In NO WAY are they connected.
ReplyDeleteThe now resigned treasurer was the one who stole all the money from the delmar PTA!
ReplyDelete8:31--Name? Tracie?
ReplyDeleteIs anyone going to be charged and held accountable?
DeleteBe very careful about accusing people publicly in this post when you obviously don't know the facts. And have the guts to publish your name if you are accusing someone.
ReplyDeleteOh you know my name I'm sure.. You also know von arx. And yes, charges are forthcoming.
ReplyDeleteSad times when you resort to stealing from your kids' school. Now the kids need to go to a new school so they don't learn in the cafeteria that their mother/father stole from their friends' parents. And they don't wonder why they are not invited to things anymore.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure her hubby will be proud. How embarrassing! Poor kids! I wonder if she will really be charged.
ReplyDeleteJesus said it best:
ReplyDeleteWhen they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her."
John 8:7
We are all sinners saved by God's grace.
One Christian to another:
DeleteAbsolutely, and God will be the judge of all of us for eternity. But God gave us free will and God condemns theft. We have laws and when they are broken we can expect retribution and legal justice. No one is sending her to hell.
If someone broke into your home and stole from you, would you not press charges?
Any update or is this going to be brushed under the rug? Someone needs to pay the price!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't excusing unacceptable behavior by my comment above, just saying We all have sin in our lives. The law will determine the punishment and justice will be served as is do just as you said and as is right. No can escape consequences for wrong doings and shouldn't. That' being said, our God who is just in judgment, is also merciful and forgiving. So yes let justice be served rightfully so but let's not condemn any further after, forgive and be an encouragement. Jesus broke bread with sinners, one sinner in particular who was a tax collector and theif, because He had compassion on him. Society is so quick to write a person off as a terrible after they have done something wrong and are so quick to make sure justice is served but we don't practice love, compassion, encouragement and forgiveness after. It makes for a society full of hypocritical Christians, because we want to be forgiven by our Father and we want him to cast our sin as far as the east is from the west yet we don't do the same for our brother. Again not excusing wrong illegal behavior but hopefully encouraging all to take a step back and realize we are all human, we all make mistakes and have to face the consequences but we should also be shown compassion after the fact. Life is hard enough without people trying to drag you down when you are already there, mistake or not.
ReplyDeleteEvery day I am dismayed at all the errors I see in news print, most of them coming from those who are in a position to know how to spell and comprehend words."Steel" ? Really? You might want to file an application at the Daily Times office!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of any update. Hoping this isn't just brushed under the rug. Our children and community deserve more!
ReplyDeleteChill the hell out. The money will b paid bck. Im tired of hearing u people talk bout this. Nobody is perfect
DeleteDoes anyone have an update on the situation or the charges that are supposed to be forthcoming? Hoping this doesn't get swept under the rug like someone mentioned above.
ReplyDeleteRumor has it that the "alleged person" has supposedly confessed. How much longer do the police need to complete their investigation? Waiting for this to officially go public, as it should. From what I understand this person has taken an enormous amount of money that parents and kids have worked so hard to raise, and I would hope that she is held accountable for her actions. Totally unacceptable! The delmar community needs to make sure this doesn't just disappear.
ReplyDeleteDoes this "thief" work? Wonder what type of position she holds. Hopefully, she doesn't have they same type of behavior at work!
ReplyDeleteSure does. She's an HR director.
ReplyDeleteWould u people mind ur own business. Wtf. The money will b paid bck. Stfu. A child molester doesn't get gossiped about this much. Wth.
DeleteOh wow! I hope the company she works is notified. Hopefully, she didn't have sticky fingers there!
ReplyDeleteSome people have nothing better to do then concern themselves with others business. How small your lives must be that you have to sit around speculating /waiting for trouble in someone else's life. Why bless your hearts you little drama feeding gossip queens! :)
ReplyDeleteGossip queens or families that were supoorting our childrens' school and we are furious that someone stole from us?
DeleteMaybe you should redirect your anger.
Gossip queens is rite. The money will b paid bck. So worry bout ur self. Bunch of drama queens
DeleteIt is QUITE possible that MY money was stolen! This is MY BUSINESS!
ReplyDeleteYou must be the culprit, 9:10! Maybe if you hadn't of committed a crime that affected the whole community, no one would be talking about you!
Nope, not the culprit 10:53. I DONT condone stealing from anyone EVER and feel that the justice system will work the problem out on it's own without the help of others bad mouthing this person or bringing up their spouse/kids, thats all. Did you ever stop to consider that this person has friends, co workers and family that will be deeply hurt because of what they did and your words won't help the matter.
ReplyDeleteThese people have nothing better to do then worry bout other people lives. There r called dramma queens. Mind ur own business. A child molester doesnt get blown up this much. Chill out justice will take car of it and the money wil b paid bck. People acting like the r perfect. Its over leave it alone people
ReplyDeleteShe has been fundraising for years. Many of us have donated and given to causes as it always seemed to be for the good of children. It is not only about this situation. Shakes beliefs in someone whom you think has good intentions. Someone above mentioned - is this really the first time, or just the time she got caught.
ReplyDeleteTracie von Arx @TvA1010 21 Jul 2013
Small town of Delmar, Md won State Championship and headed to RI. Need help fundraising! Any businesses that can help- contact me! Thx!!
Why would a "revenge plot" be brought up at the end? anyone else catch that? Sounds like there's more than meets the eye with the story.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, if you read up on the summons there are 40plus charges filed. This is not someone who made a mistake. This is someone who systematically STOLE money from children and the community. Comments are not gossip - it is a forum to vent frustrations. The primary goal should be to get her help while holding her accountable for her actions.
