OCEAN CITY, MD – (March 24, 2016): The Ocean City Police Department recently arrested a 16-year-old male wanted out of Montgomery County, MD. Teris D. McDonald, 16, of Brookeville, MD, was wanted by the Montgomery County Police Department after he committed a burglary and stole a GMC pickup truck and two handguns on Tuesday, March 22.
On Wednesday, March 23, detectives of the Ocean City Police Department Criminal Investigation Division received information from the Montgomery County Police Department that McDonald was in Ocean City. Detectives conducted surveillance in the area and located the stolen vehicle traveling northbound on Coastal Highway in the area of 54th Street. Marked patrol officers responded and conducted a traffic stop on the 10 block of 63rd Street. At that time, McDonald was taken into custody. In addition, three passengers were arrested: Khiry M. Hall, 19, of Severna Park, MD, a 16-year-old male and a 14-year-old female of Severna Park. During a search of the vehicle, detectives located the two stolen handguns in the vehicle.
Detectives have charged McDonald with motor vehicle theft and transporting a handgun, in addition to charges stemming from Montgomery County police. McDonald was seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner, waived to adult status and transferred to the Worcester County Jail on $25,000 bond. Hall and the two juveniles were each charged with motor vehicle theft. Each were seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner. Hall was released on his own recognizance and the juveniles were released to their parents.
