Is This RINO's Long Career Coming to an End?

Senator John McCain's career as the face of the GOP Establishment may be coming to an end. According to Hill, the Trump Train may be to blame:

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is facing what may be the toughest reelection of his Senate career in an unpredictable presidential year, when many voters are angry with Washington.

Early polls show McCain tied with his Democratic challenger, Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (D-Ariz.), at around 40 percent despite having nearly 100-percent name recognition in the state he has represented in either the Senate or House since 1983.

“The basic problem for John McCain is the same kind of thing that faces a lot of incumbents right now. He’s been there a long time. People are leery of Washington. They don’t like Washington,” said former Republican Rep. Jim Kolbe, who served 18 years alongside McCain in Arizona’s congressional delegation.“This is a very tough challenge, probably the toughest race that he's faced since he was first elected,” Kolbe added.McCain’s path to victory is complicated by the likelihood the GOP ticket will be headed byDonald Trump, who has an overwhelmingly negative rating among Hispanic voters, a powerful and growing electoral bloc in Arizona.

The Establishment favorite is well funded and has deep ties in the state, so it's not curtains yet. But it wouldn't be surprising if this is the end of a long illustrious career.

  1. Is anybody running against him in the primary?

I would hate to lose his seat to an Obama/Clinton/Sanders voter!

  2. These highly respected CAREER politicians, being so wise and prudent, have driven out nation into an almost 20 TRILLION DOLLAR hole (read that again) from which we will absolutely NEVER be able to get out of or pay back.
They have ruined and destroyed the Social Security fund through their greed and mismanagement They have enriched themselves beyond belief while watching the serfs take pay cuts, layoffs, part time work and MADE them buy insurance they can't afford to use.
They have inserted us into wars (sorry -- "conflicts") where thousands of young serfs lose their lives and body parts only to surrender all they gained to an enemy we SWORE to defeat.
They have eviscerated the Bill of Rights and placed Americans under 24-7, top to bottom, all-encompassing surveillance, the likes of which the world has NEVER seen (and THIS is supposedly a "republic", not Nazi Germany or China).
They have surrendered our security and safety in an effort to prove how "inclusive" and "kind" they are to people who aren't even citizens and who have demonstrated a proclivity for killing people that don't agree with them, ESPECIALLY Americans!
They have allowed corporate bribery to dictate what "We, the people" must endure and tolerate.
They take MONTHS off from the job "we, the people" pay them to do while they LOOK for a better job (YOU try that where YOU work).
Yeah I'm getting the feeling that a WHOLE LOT of Americans are fed up with career politicians and all the wonderful things they have done for the USA.
I am, as always, in favor of taking the short cut to political integrity by hanging EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. They are a cancer. No doctor cures cancer by killing just a few cancer cells. And we won't fix our problem by killing just a few of THEM.
Keep cheering. And keep thinking that the next "my guy" is going to be able to turn anything around. "Change things", I think, is the phrase these slimy politicians like to use (in election years).

  3. Establish term limits across the board for every elected position in this country. Do it from local municipal government all the way to federal service.
