  6. my dishwasher just started leaking two days ago - I have not washed dishes by hand is a long time, but until I can get it fixed, that's exactly what I am going to be doing!

  15. The pots and pans go to the sink. Glassware and china (not the good stuff, though) go to the dishwasher.

  18. The next question is-Who after handwashing drys everything off w/a towel and puts it away? I don't. Whatever gets handwashed stays in the drainer to dry. My friend who is Amish after the dinner dishes are washed, dried and put away, scrubs the sink out w/Comet. Then sweeps the kitchen floor. Sink scoured and floor swept everyday except Sunday.

  21. I never saw the point of using a dishwasher if you have to rinse stuff off before putting them in so I just hand wash. The next day they are dry and I put away. No problem.

    Yes and in the new house with the dishwasher it will become a big drying rack
