Coast Guard, Navy intercept submersible carrying $200M in cocaine

Customs agents teamed up with the Coast Guard and Navy to land a big fish — a submarine-like ship being used to smuggle more than five tons of cocaine worth $200 million to the US, authorities said.

The seizure occurred March 3 in the Pacific Ocean off the Central American coast. Customs officials had spotted the vessel from a plane.

  2. Why didn't they wait and find out who was going to receive it? That's how you bust the "ring leaders". Must have been going to a prominent politician who swears our borders are secure.

    1. That's what I've never understood either. Just like with bait cars, follow and see if they're going to the chop shop, if they're not driving erratically of course & BAM!! Arrest everybody!
