It's 9:10 am here in Salisbury. The snow is still coming down!!! Dan said it was supposed to be raining by now!!!!! The dusting keeps on coming!!!!!!!!
It seems like it used to be that the weathermen would predict more snow that we actually ended up getting. They always made it sound like a terrible blizzard would come and we got an inch. So, people started not believing them. Now, I guess to compensate for over-forecasting, they say only a dusting and we end up with 4 inches.
I had an even 7" (measured) at 6.45 AM this morning, just north of the Town of Snow Hill...and it was still snowing heavily when I left to go north to work. Heck, Snow Hill wasn't even in the warning zone. In the past (years ago) I can remember shoving a good bit of "partly cloudy" off of my sidewalks.

ReplyDeleteRemember a positive spin on the forecast is good for business. Wboc has to look out for it's advertisers. To hell with the viewing audience!
ReplyDeleteAnother one of Dan's "low" impact forecasts!!!
Your on track, the same applies to summer weekend rain forecasts.
DeleteDan's pride just isn't as important as his check.
I would love to know what his old employers said about him?
