Thank you for continuing to inform the citizens of the Eastern Shore and Delmarva the FACTS regarding this, most important, industry.
The lies and distortions coming from some of our local county council members, the EPA and all their little minions are so tiring. We're sick and tired of listening to their threats and uneducated solutions.
Since 1999 MD poultry companies have voluntarily contributed more than 5 million to the MD Manure Transportation program? Now aren't they special. Why does MD even have to have this program and how much is it costing taxpayers? They make the manure, they profit from the manure let them clean it up. The only role the state should have in this is making sure it's getting removed properly and not helping them with tax payers money to remove it.
This isn't informative at all. Using data from 1999 and the early 2000's doesn't help anyone. A quick Google search shows the undated "recent" U of DE study was in 2008 and another undated "fact" was from 2007. Use current updated facts and data or don't bother because using old studies is not productive and serves no purpose other than to show these elected officials are clueless.

I too noticed the dates. I would prefer "FACTS" from this decade, as we are well into it.
