FORMER County Executive Rick Pollitt Just Can't Let Go

This morning I received a message from someone on Linkedin. When I responded it gave me a list of recommendations and Rick Pollitt was one of them. Obviously Rick is not willing to change his status after almost 2 years. And don't come back and say he's too busy or whatever. The man can't let go.

  1. Several people are not happy with him at his new job.

  2. Probably lists him as Wico County Exec on other sites too.

  3. He's a clueless (insert your noun here); probably had an underling set it up to begin with, and would need an underling to update it. Problem is he's entrusted with fewer underlings in his current role.

    Too bad; so sad.

  8. He is very comfortable with all his liberal democrat elected officials in Crisfield. They all sit around and see how they can make peoples lives more difficult and expensive.

  9. Poster child for freeloading liberal politician. Never had a real job in the business community. Rick has always been for Rick first; doesn't care about anything but living off the backs of communities and tax payers. A real classless individual looking out for number one.

  13. Want to know something else, he is doing to Crisfield? Superintendent of Water Plant resigned and instead of using the Supervisor of O & M who has several water/wastewater licenses and 13 years of experience, he is making Crisfield hire an outside agency to do the work because he and his brother in law are estranged. Now his brother-in-law was hired prior to him taking this job but he is using his position to get back at him. Sounds unfair and unlawful on a human resource side plus costing the taxpayers an extreme amount of money when a man is there that has the credentials to handle the job. If I were the brother-in-law, I would sue Crisfield for allowing him to use a vendetta to create havoc and unfair discrimination in his job. Seems unfair to a good employee who was highly recognized and thought of by superintendent til Mr. Pollitt showed up. What's worse is the mayor and city council are letting it happen. So much for Nepotism in the work place. No wonder Crisfield has the reputation it has and Pollitt is only making it worse.

  14. Now he got his new superintendent to fire his estranged brother in law and wrote him up as insubordination. I was at the meeting, the brother in law was trying to protect the citizens of Crisfield's water. New superintendent said MDE didn't care about tests and to let the rain wash away sewage overflows. Course he lives in Delmar, he doesn't drink the water. All brother in law said was that MDE did care and that information was wrong. Parkinson fired him. Not to mention Parkinson started on Monday, never spoke to brother in law til Wednesday when we had this "new procedure staff meeting"! Then he fired him after meeting...set up for sure! Maybe that's why city is paying this guy big bucks and new truck to drive back and forth to Delmar! Prior supervisor said Rick was gunning for him! Guess our water will be like Flint! Hoping MDE steps in and puts this guy in his place. They need to take any kind of license he has if he even has any! Feel sorry for fired brother in law since he worked his butt off and was well respected by all the contractors! Wrote a letter to editor of Crisfield times but they won't print probably cause Rick and Mayor have them in back pocket! Crooked journalism as well as crooked city politics!
