On February 10, 2016 the Laurel Middle/Senior High Schools were notified of a possible “Bomb Threat”. The Laurel Police Department as well as Delaware State Police units responded to the schools and both schools were evacuated. During the evacuation, officers conducting the investigation were able to locate where the threat had originated from. Officers made contact with the occupants of the residence and were able to not only locate the phone that the threat was made on, but also the name and location of the person who made the threat. Officers arrested a 13 year old Male from Laurel, DE and charged him with one felony count of Terroristic Threatening Cause to Evacuate Building, Place, School, Daycare, or Long Term Care Facility. The 13 year old was arraigned by JP Court #2 and released to his grandmother with a future court date.
1:26, It was NOT a robocall n Laurel, THAT's the difference. Worcester County nailed the kid that called one in as well. ALL of the rest were robocalls.
I heard that schools in Australia are experiences the same thing. Yes Australia. Same sophisticate methods: Robo calls, fake caller ID#'s, etc. Australian officials have traced the calls to Russia. Maybe ours have too but just aren't saying it. If so, not much we can do as far as prosecuting.
I am sure he is NOT the only one doing this more arrests please.
ReplyDeleteBut it shows you if you actually do your job you will find them...
ReplyDeleteSO why has Maryland not found theirs???
They should have kept his butt locked up. These little hoodrats need a good old fashioned switch to the backside.

ReplyDeleteThe robo calls are the ones I want locked up because they cost $ and no 13 yo is going to spend $ on that.
DeleteReleasing him to his grandmother should scare the heck out of him-not
ReplyDeleteThat was a stupid life changing decision.

ReplyDeleteGreat Britain, too.
DeleteWhy wasn't this kid charged as an adult? This is really up there on the crime level.
