Mr. Albero, with all the problems in salisbury with gangs, drugs, and violent crime I was curious to see how many of your bloggers are interested in the latest downtown agenga, a so called black alternative southern rap group "nappy roots " April 23 headquarters live. One of its members goes by the name "fish scales " a street term for cocaine.
Okay so I do not like this kind of music so I went in search of something controversial to find out about this group Nappy Roots. Nothing there. They are a rap group that embraces rural life and refuses to objectify women and glorify violence in their music and choose to promote a positive message. What is interesting is that some of their lyrics do speak out against homosexuality even going so far as to call them "worthless" queers. I love Nappy Roots!
This place is such a waste. No one even goes there hardly. For all the FB likes very little participation in the way of individual posts (like 10%) likes or talks about. The lost pet sites are more active. All the people who were so in favor of this place barely even support it. The people of Salisbury got alot of mouth but that's about it. The place would have been better off being a sweat shop or some other blue collar employment place that's not retail or restaurant/bar related. Dopes in Salisbury will never learn and that is why Salisbury has never ever been able to pull itself back up after agriculture left the area and was replace w/factory farms. In the words of the Great Donald Trump, STUPID people!
"They pour. It don't matter no mo. Everything will be ok." Watermelon eating chicken sh-t slinging country rappers. Vince Gill would be proud. Plus Fish Henry Scales can't help what name his parents Howard and Emma Scales gave him. For all we know this gig could be the one that gives him enough to send the form with the check to change such a horrid name.
That's it!! Thus should fit right in with the new branding marketing promo. And yes one of former members was razed and arrested during violent protests ( the black lives matter movement no doubt) I'm sure it'll be attended by the SU white 'gansta wanna be's. Bet you might even hear this once or twice "what's up yo". Isn't this place right there where mayor Day wants to redevelop revitalize?? Oh yea gotta get that out to tourism see if we can fit this in with the toes in 'da sand!! UNREAL
Sorry post @ 1:19 I'm an african American female educator and honestly fed up with the whole hip-hop culture and gang drug infestation. There is no respect given to any authority figures anymore. OK trying to comprehend lyrics that go from shooting dice to no N jacking my ride to it's gonna be a good day nobody died today nobody cried today!! Think maybe if we came out of that whole mentality and way of thinking there might actually be some change and progress made
I myself like particularly don't care for this type of music but am open to other people expressing enjoying what they like. It's when I pull up to a store or stoplight and the windows in my car start rattling and the constant barrage of negative destructive content message that goes with the music. Everyone is free to endulge in whatever they choose but until you start giving respect to others I will continue to be a negative critic of such behavior and events!!!

ReplyDeleteMaybe the people that go there aren't active on social media. Also, sweatshops? Really?
DeleteI imagine with all the hoopla over the new "brand" this place is going to have people lined up and circling the block to get in.
ReplyDelete#Yeah-It'sAllAboutThe"Branding"!
#GottaGetANew"Brand"ForSalisbury!
#It'sAllAboutThe"Brand"!
#ANew"Brand"WillMakesItAllBetter!
So it's a bad thing that we have a group that has a Grammy nomination playing in Salisbury? lol, you old white people are hilarious.
