Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had a message Monday night for a young supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) who said young people don't trust Clinton: Don't get distracted.
At a CNN town-hall event Monday night, a student confronted Clinton about the perception that she is dishonest.
"I've heard from quite a few people my age that say you're dishonest," said the supporter, who described himself as a supporter of Sanders.
He proceeded to ask her about what he perceived as an enthusiasm gap among young people for Clinton's campaign vs. Sanders'.
Clinton said she was "totally happy to see young people involved in any way." But she said she wanted voters to know that she believes she's frequently attacked because she fights for progressive causes.

There will always be fractions of society who are die-hard fans (yes, fans) of a candidate. Ones whom do not care whether or not their candidate is honest, forthright or working for their best interests. They are likened to groupies who will suffer abuse of a rock star without a thought as to the damage they do to them and others.
ReplyDeleteClinton is no exception. She's a celebrity. She has groupies. And yes, those people will vote for her even if she's sitting in Rikers for murder. She has a solid minimal base. However, if a voter votes with their conscience and has an understanding of just how devastating her email, Benghazi and the Clinton Foundation's fraudulent activities and her defiling women throughout her history in the public eye, then honesty will matter.
Note that she didn't go on to actually answer the question....
ReplyDeleteShe actually doesn't fight for any cause except promoting Hillary, which is her full-time job.
ReplyDeleteAnother day, another lie.
Not trusting her is the best thing that you can do for your country.
ReplyDeleteNo, Hillary, you are not attacked about your honesty, or lack thereof, because you "fight for progressive causes." So does Bernie Sanders, and even after his campaign's screw ups with hacking your databases - for which he PROMPTLY fired the people involved - no one is questioning his honesty.
ReplyDeleteYour answer was, well, dishonest.
This poor kid is going to get the "Vince Foster", put on him.
ReplyDelete11:32 no he was a plant so she could lie some more
ReplyDeleteHer cackle drives me crazy and its one of a plethora of reasons why I hope they indict her soon so she can stay off my TV. I always mute her now when I see her. She sounds better that way. Too bad in real life we can't mute people.
