Are you sure it wasnt towed for illegal parking? Some companies do not call and report them as being towed, even though it is state law that they must. Check the lot you were parked in/at for no parking signs, they have to be 24x30 and list the company name, location, and cost to retrieve your car. Good luck to you.
According to additional FB posts it was legally parked and they have called towing companies. It was parked between Roadie Joe's and Market in a parking lot. If I'm remembering correctly a motorcycle was stolen from the area a few weeks ago.
The owner wrecked the car driving drunk on New Year's Eve. Now he's trying to report it stolen to avoid consequences. Fortunately the police and insurance company will easily figure this out. All you did was compound your problem. Better come clean now.
