Dagsboro, DE – State Police detectives have arrested a Georgetown man in connection with a home invasion style robbery at a Dagsboro area residence.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Saturday January 2, 2016 at a residence in the 30000 block of Parsons Road when a two male subjects arrived at the house and knocked on the door. A 60-year-old male answered the door and allowed the two men to enter since he knew one of them. While the three were talking in the kitchen area, the men suddenly began punching the victim to the point where he was knocked unconscious. The two then removed a cell phone from the counter and ran out of the house before entering into a unknown type vehicle and driving away.
The following morning, the 60-year-old victim and his roommates located a small backpack in the front lawn near the porch which contained the identification of one of the suspects. The victim then contacted the Delaware State Police to report the incident and the turn over the backpack. Troopers were able to locate Charles E. Daisey Jr., 40 of Georgetown, at the Sea Esta Motel in Long Neck and took him into custody without incident. A second suspect, who was only described as a black male, has not been located or identified.
Charles Daisey was transported back to Troop 4 where he was charged with Robbery 1st, Home Invasion, Conspiracy 2nd, Assault 3rd, and Theft. He was arraigned at JP3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $90,000.00 cash bond.
