It's outrageous that shoplifting has become either so common or so high profile that we see a new "ID this shoplifter" article nearly every day. I'd like to know how much is being lost in shoplifting, how much is being spent on investigation and what is the result? If its a whole bunch of small thefts, lots of police time expended and little results, which is what I expect, then it is time to change tactics.
3:41 That statement was just plain stupid. "Give him a job"? How about he go out and look for a job and show a willingness to work. With your attitude, you are a part of the problem.
