SFD complete training on the new Wicomico County Mass Casualty Trailer

Members of the SFD complete training on the new Wicomico County Mass Casualty Trailer. The trailer has the ability to provide basic life support services such as oxygen therapy, backboard/spinal stabilization, infection control, trauma mitigation, and other disciplines.
The unit was funded by tax dollars and grant funds.

  2. Kind of disturbing, that the local police dept. is outfitted with a "mass casualty" trailer...instead of the highly trained paramedics and firemen. Not that the police dept. doesn't get first aid training, but wouldn't this be more appropriate for the ambulance and rescue crews?

  8. We now have the ability to provide life saving emergency services to multiple people in remote areas. This is a good thing.

    I hope it never needs to be used but I can't believe all of the complaints.

  11. FYI. The County has had a Mass Casualty Trailer for 20+ years. This is just replacing that old unit. I could try to explain its exact purpose but you guys don't want to hear that you just want to complain about everything.
