Some one submitted a video of the ferris wheel turning on its own in 75 mph winds. very cool.
Nothing new here. It's not exactly substantial construction and it sustains damage in ay significant weather. In March of 1962 it lost about 150 feet of the seaward end which was not replaced.
I have never seen the water that high.Typically the pier is at leas 20' above the water,but it feels like 50 when you're hauling a big fish in.
I wish they would replace it to the length it used to be. It'll never happen though
