Dorchester County Sheriff's Office Press Release 1-5-16

On December 19, 2015 a deputy from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s office arrested 23 year old Jawaun Billy Jones of 6227-A Jones Village Road, Hurlock, Md. He was wanted in connection with the abandonment of a 2 month old infant on December 12, 2015 on Jones Village Road. The suspect and the mother of the child became involved in an argument and placed the infant in a child safety seat and abandoned the infant in the travelled portion of the roadway around 3:00 a.m. The child was recovered and turned over to other family members. The suspect has been charged with Second Degree Child Abuse, Reckless Endangerment and Neglect of a Minor and was ordered Held on $300,000.00 Bond.

On December 29, 2015 a deputy from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21 year old Brittany Dawn Schuyler of 5619 Mt. Holly Road, East New Market, Md. She was wanted for Failure to appear in District Court on October 28, 2015. While searching her subsequent to arrest she was found to be in possession of Heroin and Cocaine. She was charged with 2 counts of Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Heroin and incarcerated on $8,000.00 for the drugs and $5,000.00 for the Failure to Appear.
