As you know, the General Assembly convenes this Thursday, the 14th, for the 2016 session.
The Democrat leadership is going to try to undo a lot of the good that was accomplished last year by overriding many of Gov. Hogan's vetoes of bad legislation.
Following is a list of the bills slated for override vote:
•SB 190: Sales and Use Tax – Taxable Price – Accommodations
•SB 340/HB 980: Election Law – Voting Rights – Ex-Felons
•SB 517: Criminal Law – Use and Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia
•HB 209: Howard County – Room Rental Tax – Room Rental Fee Ho. Co. 12-15
•HB 71: Capital Budget – Maryland Hall Line Item Veto:
PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL SEN. JIM MATHIAS AND REMIND HIM THAT GOV. HOGAN'S APPROVAL RATING IS 64% WHILE GOV. O'MALLEY'S APPROVAL RATING WHEN HE LEFT OFFICE ONE YEAR AGO WAS IN THE DISMAL 20'S. INFORM JIM THAT HE SHOULD NOT THWART THE WILL OF HIS CONSTITUENTS.
