Bomb Threat At Two Virginia Schools

STAFFORD, VA — A bomb threat has been reported at Ferry Farm Elementary, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies are, “exercising an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of students/staff,” according to a message on Twitter.

A threat at a Gainesville elementary school has also led Prince William County Schools to evacuate the building and bus students to a nearby middle school.

  6. I'm not sure what the answer is to this. Stiff penalties for sure, these disruptions are costly and inconvenient. Can you imagine all the parents trying to scramble to find someone to watch their children? I'm worried that a) one day it won't be a crank call and b) this sort of thing will be used as an excuse to expand the surveillance state.
