A Viewer Writes: Parkside High School

Here is a snapshot of Islamic doctrination disguised as an art project my teen was given at Parkside. He is a Junior. I sent a strongly worded letter stating he would not be participating. I just thought people should know what is going on in their schools. Thanks Common Core.

  1. Well, I'd think the Freedom From Religion Foundation (atheists) would be all over this.
Oh wait. That's right. It isn't a Christian art project.
    Oops. My bad.

  2. Don't you mean "indoctrination?". Perhaps you should go back to school.

  4. Really dumb and totally an over reaction. God forbid a child receive an education.

  5. 10:04 You obviously didn't read the assignment.

  6. When was the last time your kids were given an 'art project' that involved Judaism or Buddhism or Hinduism or Christianity?
    Never, that's when.
This BS most certainly IS indoctrination. Indoctrination into a cult of immoral zealots and rapists. A cult of sexists who's mantra reads "Women are for babys, boys are for pleasure". A cabal of degenerate men who would keep women as slaves..
I gotta stop or be sick....

  7. Isn't there some sort of public review available, of lesson materials and books? This should be made available to parents before they choose to enroll their child in a school.

This appears to be part of an art history lesson, which can certainly include examples of Islamic art in context (not that much "art" was produced in the area after it was infested by Islam).

But WTH seriously, is this unrelated, irrelevant nonsense about "Allah" and "interpreting the Islamic faith" doing in this lesson? I can understand asking to compare and contrast symbolism and design elements with other motifs, but not requiring the student to regurgitate Islamic propaganda. I keep seeing this again and again, over the past few years especially, where Islam is accorded far greater emphasis than is relevant, in public school lessons.

Good question, why the Freedom From Religion Foundation doesn't challenge the increasing infiltration of a very bad religion into public schools and other inappropriate areas. I think I will e-mail them, to ask.

I am not a member, because I disagree with nitpicking about harmless Christmas displays and the shape of veterans' memorials. There are far more critical issues that desperately need to be nipped in the bud, and the Islamization of schools is a huge one. I think too many of us atheists are laissez-faire about the very real threat of Islam, and write it off as yet another example of deluded, backwards superstition. It is far worse than that.

In my opinion, I believe both atheists and devout Christians have the most to lose, and are in the direct sights of Islamists. For that reason, we need to put aside our petty differences and mutually fight for true religious freedom: the freedom to believe, or NOT believe in the deity or deities of ones' choice.

Islam is the enemy of freedom of religion, because it is an ideology that forces the population to believe in "Allah" (or pretend to) and to follow the arbitrary whims of a thousand years of misogynistic, inrolerant, sadistic megalomaniacs.

We must all OPENLY and unwaveringly reject the psychopathic ideology of Islam, and recognize that the fight for freedom to be Christian (or Jewish, or Catholic, or pagan, or Pastafarian) is the same fight as the right to be a secular humanist, or atheist.

  8. 10:24 PERFECTLY STATED! They infiltrate in little ways and it adds up to being overtaken.

You obviously didn't read the assignment, show stfu.

As someone from Germany recently stated:

"We have a government that is working against the interest of it's citizens".

    This is absolute madness!

  10. Oh..so now that something besides Christianity is being shoved down everyone's throat you want help from atheist and freedom from religion groups. Funny how religious people think

  11. I don't object at all to the artistic part of the assignment, but to the quotes from the Koran. That's where I think the assignment crosses the line. I would feel the same way if the project involved art that was rooted in another religion using quotes from that religion's holy book(s).

  12. Of course it is indoctrination. Remember, the left despises the US and its Judeo-Christian values so much that it will falsely believe that Islam is an ally. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." With that said and being cognizant that public education is controlled by progressives, it is easy to see the agenda.

Personally, I would have a field day with this assignment. The Koran clearly states that it is acceptable to deceive and kill the infidel. I could write a very harsh response and back it up with contextual evidence which is a tenant of CC. Nothing as sweet as beating them at their own game.

i am not "religious" and I am not a stupid man, however, I do know that I do not want my children to take part in any Islamic/Muslim activities.

  14. This is indoctrination of our children. I bet the assignment does not discuss what the Islamic faith does to non-believers.

  15. no i dont want help from any of the groups but if you going to take religion out of schools take pledge out of school take prayer out of school then by god DONT PUT ISLAMIC CRAP IN MY SCHOOL

  18. 10:24-- Thank you for your comment. You make some excellent points.

10:44.. you sure are a bitter person. That's sad. I hope you will at least ask Jesus to show you whether or not He is real. And if you are sincere, He will. Please consider it, because that bitterness will eat you up. This world has become a snakepit, but there is a peace and joy available in the midst of the turmoil that you cannot imagine until you receive it.
I'm not talking about 'religion', I mean a personal relationship with the One who created the universe (and you); He will come and abide within you, and fill you so full of joy you won't believe it's possible.
Picture it. God, with all His power and love, abiding in YOU.
You'll never be the same. You'll be made new.

He knows who you are and what you need. Just ask Him.

  20. This is how it started in Germany, nursery rhymes with Hitler and songs about how great he is. It is called Indoctrination. They then teach the children to turn in their parents and rat out relatives for speaking against the King Obama.

  23. Speaking as a parent of a PHS student, the main hallway during Christmas was lined with beautifully decorated Christmas trees. Perhaps the art projects will continue to coincide with the various religions through-out the remainder of the course. My child is currently working on an Art project covering the Aborigines.

Are you an idiot! No wonder Democrats keep getting elected because of ignorant Morons like you.

If you want results then Flood the next Wicomico County Board of Education meeting and demand the Art Teacher and Principal get fired effective immediately. We are at war with this religion and this is an act of Treason IMHO.

  33. Your children are going to be gay too. They teach gayism in the school too. Take them out anf home school. You is much more smarter than the teachers with degrees.

  36. This is why you can't keep good teachers. Think about it, they're not paid well, they have to deal with political correctness from all sides, The fed's are telling them what to teach, how to teach and assess it, they have TO DEAL WITH STUDENTS THAT DO NOT RESPECT THEM OR ANY TYPE OF DISCIPLINE, and finally and worse of all, they have to deal with parents and guardians that don't have a clue whats going on in their child's school, but are the first to make ignorant comments that make them look like they care.

  37. A "good teacher" would have noticed this wasn't such a great idea to put this kind of project out there.
