Millsboro- Detectives with Delaware State Police Major Crimes Unit are currently investigating a death of a 10 month old male that occurred Wednesday afternoon at a Millsboro daycare.
On Wednesday January 28, 2015 around 2:15 p.m., troopers were dispatched to Handy's Little Disciples daycare located at 28194 Layton-Davis Road after a 9-1-1 call was received from the home stating a 10 month old was unresponsive. Preliminary investigation suggests a daycare worker attempted to wake the 10 month old male from a nap, and upon doing so, observed the infant unresponsive. The young child was transported by EMS to Beebe Healthcare in Lewes where he was eventually pronounced dead. The child was turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
Detectives are continuing their investigation into this incident.

Obama intimidating Benghazi witness into silence?
The Obama administration has been using General David Petraeus’ legal predicament over an extramarital affair to keep him “on a leash” and prevent him from him from providing “devastating testimony” on Benghazi, charges Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas.
“We’re not even getting to the people that really have the most direct information,” Gohmert said in a radio interview Sunday. “Have you not wondered about Petraeus being so silent all this time?”
Gohmert was speaking on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” on New York’s AM 970 The Answer.
Petraeus was director of the Central Intelligence Agency at the time of the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, Sept. 11, 2012. The retired four-star general resigned, however, two months later, citing an extramarital affair reportedly discovered through an FBI investigation.
Since then, further investigations by the FBI and Justice Department have alleged Petraeus leaked classified documents to his mistress, prompting a recommendation felony charge be brought against him. So far, however, he has not been formally charged.
Gohmert cited Petraeus’ legal troubles as just the kind of ammunition the White House could use to keep the former CIA director quiet about what really happened in Benghazi and the immediate aftermath, when the administration took public criticism for a series of misleading “talking points” about the attack.

Freedom, Where Are You? Not in America or Europe
Where else can the money to go?
When the former Goldman Sachs executive who runs the European Central Bank (ECB) announced that he was going to print 720 billion euros annually with which to purchase bad debts from the politically connected big banks, the euro sank and the stock market and Swiss france shot up. As in the US, quantitative easing (QE) serves to enrich the already rich. It has no other purpose.
The well-heeled financial institutions that bought up the troubled sovereign debt of Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Spain at low prices will now sell the bonds to the ECB for high prices. And despite depression level unemployment in most of Europe and austerity imposed on citizens, the stock market rose in anticipation that much of the 60 billion new euros that will be created each month will find its way into equity prices. Liquidity fuels the stock market.
Where else can the money to go? Some will go into Swiss francs and some into gold while gold is still available, but for the most part the ECB is running the printing press in order to boost the wealth of the stock-owning One Percent. The Federal Reserve and the ECB have taken the West back to the days when a handful of aristocrats owned everything.

A sweet gig: 16-year-old opens Md. bakery
WASHINGTON — Most teenagers spend their free time engrossed in social media and selfies, but 16-year-old Bree Britt isn’t like most teenagers.
Every day at 3:50 p.m., Bree gets off the school bus at a small strip of storefronts on Livingston Road in Accokeek, Maryland. And under a white awning that reads “Bree’s Sweet Treats,” the teen transforms from high school student to business owner.
“Depending on how busy the day is and what we have to do for the next day, I’ll be here,” Bree says while sitting at a table in the cafĂ© section of her store.
The St. Mary’s Ryken High School student opened her bakery in 2013 after launching a successful online baking business when she was 12. But Bree’s journey into crafting confections began long before she reached double digits.

Md. County To Consider Ban On Sales Of Cats, Dogs From Breeders
ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — Lawmakers in Montgomery County are considering banning pet stores from selling dogs or cats supplied by commercial breeders.
The bill would allow pet stores to sell dogs or cats only if they come from animal care facilities or nonprofit rescue organizations.
The bill is meant is to prevent the sale of animals from so-called “puppy mills,” where dogs and cats are raised in conditions that some advocates describe as inhumane.

David Gregory and Why Law Is Only for the Little People
The well-connected and powerful escape regulation that ensares the less fortunate.
As with most prissy, arcane regulations, laws that are designed to regulate the functionality of firearms tend instead to serve as an invitation to caprice. Herewith, a report from William Jacobson on the Extraordinary Tale of NBC’s David Gregory:
The short version is that the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department warned NBC News that it could not possess an actual high-capacity magazine, but NBC News went ahead and did it anyway. The MPD recommended a warrant for Gregory’s arrest, but that request was nixed by the D.C. Attorney General Irvin Nathanbecause — my paraphrase — Gregory was just too nice a guy and had no other criminal intent.
That attitude stood in stark contrast to the D.C. Attorney General’s vigorous prosecution of other lesser-known people who also were nice people and had no other criminal intent, but violated D.C.’s gun laws.
I do not intend to reiterate here just how extraordinarily difficult it is to execute laws that aim to track pieces of unserialized metal. Nor, for that matter, will I attempt to lay out what any earnest attempt to do so would end up doing to privacy rights in the United States. Rather, I want to focus on the grossly unequal manner in which such rules will inevitably be enforced, and to examine also what this does to the notion of equal protection. From my perspective, the startling thing about the Gregory affair is not so much that the powers-that-be eventually declined to prosecute him for his transgression, but that he was so unfailingly sure that he would be allowed to break the law without consequences. In a vacuum, it is easy to make the case that there was no need to indict NBC for its crime. Indeed it is difficult to imagine a set of circumstances in which doing so could be considered a good use of the city’s time and resources. But the entitled nonchalance with which Gregory presumed that his behavior would be ignored should worry all of us.

Education is Too Important Not to Leave to the Marketplace
This week, events around the country will highlight the importance of parental control of education as part of National School Choice Week
This week, events around the country will highlight the importance of parental control of education as part of National School Choice Week. This year’s events should attract more attention than prior years because of the growing rebellion against centralized education sparked by the federal Common Core curriculum.
The movement against Common Core has the potential to change American education. However, anti-Common Core activists must not be misled by politicians promoting “reforms” of the federal education bureaucracy, or legislation ending Common Core while leaving all other federal education programs intact. The only way to protect American children from future Common Core-like programs is to permanently padlock the Department of Education.

Pack Over 100,000 Meals For Those In Need
Annapolis, MD - Governor
Larry Hogan and First Lady Yumi Hogan along with Lieutenant Governor
Boyd Rutherford and Monica Rutherford, teamed up with 400 volunteers
from around the state last Sunday, January 25, to package meals for the
Maryland Food Bank and the Howard County Food Bank.
The
food packaging event, which took place in the gym at Howard Community
College, was the last in a series of events surrounding the inauguration
of the 62nd Governor of the State of Maryland. Donning hair
nets, the First Couple and the Rutherfords greeted guests and carefully
packed macaroni and cheese packs in an assembly line fashion.
“It's
very satisfying to be able to give back to the community during this
very busy time, especially in my home county,” said Lieutenant Governor
Rutherford, a Howard County resident who used to teach a business ethics
course at the community college. “We achieved our goal of packing
100,000 meals while also getting to know some very dedicated volunteers
who made this important event such a success.”
Howard
County Executive Allan Kittleman, the Governor and Lieutenant
Governor’s staff, and members of the organization Outreach, Inc., also
volunteered.
What Is Chronic Bronchitis?
Chronic bronchitis is when damaged lungs produce more mucus than they should. If you cough up mucus and feel short of breath for at least three months each year, two or more years in a row, without another diagnosis to explain the cough, you may have chronic bronchitis.
Healthy Lungs
Inside the lungs are branching airways of stretchy tissue. Each airway is wrapped with bands of muscle that help keep it open. Air travels in and out of the lungs through these airways.
The cells in the lining of the airways produce a sticky fluid called mucus. This traps dust, smoke, and other particles in the air you breathe and helps protect the lungs.
Tiny hairs, called cilia, then sweep the mucus up the airways to the throat, where it is swallowed or coughed up, again to protect the lungs

FINALLY!: Bowe Bergdahl To Be Charged With Desertion
In news that has been far too long in the making, the United States Army has decided to move forward with charges of desertion against Bowe Bergdahl.
During Monday’s broadcast of “The O’Reilly Factor”, retired Lt. Colonel Tony Schaffer of the London Center for Policy Research told host Bill O’Reilly:
“Bill, the Army has come to its conclusion and Bowe Bergdahl will be charged with desertion. I have been told and confirmed by two other sources that his attorney was given what we call a charge sheet. A charge sheet is results of the investigation listing out the articles of the Uniform Code of Military Justice that have been violated. The key violation is desertion. And this is has been done. The decision has been made. Let me be very clear. As a corporate entity, the Army has decided that they want to pursue Bergdahl for this violation.”
The Obama administration has been called out for stone-walling the investigation in order to distance itself from the decision to release known terrorists for Bergdahl.

America’s “Gas Price Crash” Is Almost Over
JUST IN TIME FOR THE TAX HIKES …
Politicians banking on low gas prices as a hook for raising taxes on fuel (ahem) might want to pay attention to this post …
According to survey publisher Trilby Lundberg, U.S. gas prices are at their lowest level since April 2009 – but wholesale rates are beginning to inch back up. That means those rapidly falling numbers at your local fuel station won’t be declining much further … and could start climbing again very soon.
“The street price crash is either coming to an end or is already at its bottom,” Lundberg told Reuters.
In other words you’d be wise to take revenue projections for gas tax increases (like the one proposed last week by S.C. governor Nikki Haley) with an abundance of skepticism.

Bill Maher Takes a Shot at ‘American Sniper’ for Glorifying ‘Psychopath Patriot’ Chris Kyle
Bill Maher blasted Clint Eastwood’s film American Sniper during the Real Timepanel discussion on Friday, comparing it unfavorably to Kathryn Bigelow’s Oscar-winning The Hurt Locker.
“Hurt Locker made $17 million, because it was a little ambiguous. And thoughtful,” Maher said. “And this one is just ‘American hero, he’s a psychopath patriot and we love him.’”
Maher also criticized the subject of Eastwood’s movie, Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, and his statements in his autobiography regarding killing Iraqi “savages.”

This evening I dropped my wallet outside of Michaels. I didn’t realize it until I received a message on Facebook from a young man telling me he and his mom had found it. I met them at Walmart to get it back. I’m so incredibly thankful that they took the time to find me and see that I got my wallet back.
Thank you to Bonnie Flinn of KB Cleanstuff and her son Drew for being awesome.

Driver Who Killed Cyclist Sues the Dead Teen’s Parents
In a case the Ottawa Citizen called “astonishing evidence of the raw appeal of… victimhood,” a woman who struck and killed a teenage boy riding his bike outside of Toronto is suing the boy’s family for $1.35 million.
The driver, Sharlene Simon, is seeking compensation for the ”great pain and suffering” she has sustained since killing 17-year-old Brandon Majewski with her SUV, as well as “a severe shock to her system” and lessening of “her enjoyment of life,” her lawyers wrote in the suit, filed in an Ontario court.
Simon struck Majewski and his two 16-year-old friends in October 2012, killing Majewski and badly injuring another boy. The three were riding home from a coffee shop on a Saturday night on rural Innisfil Beach Road, about 50 miles north of Toronto.
“I think it’s very cruel,” said Brandon’s father, Derek Majewski, of the lawsuit. Derek said Brandon’s death was devastating for his family. Brandon’s grief-stricken brother, Devon, died six months later after consuming a combination of alcohol and prescription drugs.

Michael Moore Tells Fox News ‘Quit Making Shit Up About Me’
Filmmaker Michael Moore went on offense on Facebook today, pushing back at the attacks upon him over a comment he made on Twitter about military snipers by listing the multitude of ways he has supported veterans, before calling on Fox News to “quit making sh*t up about me.”
Moore has become the target of conservative fans of the film American Sniper who have claimed he attacked the subject of the film, Chris Kyle, when he tweeted: “My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren’t heroes. And invaders r worse.”
Since that time Fox News hosts, television commentators Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin, and other celebrities have hammered Moore, calling him “Un-American,” while pointing out that he never served in the military.

Public housing officials won't verify whether residents are the truly needy
Washington doesn't know if people living in public housing are needy because local authorities who are supposed to verify income and stop fraud often aren't interested making sure taxpayer money is spent properly.
Under pressure from lobbyists, HUD loosened regulations that had forced local authorities to collect evidence of income. Department officials also moved to let local authorities treat more federal cash as “fees” aimed at making a “profit” so that housing bureaucrats could be paid more, according to an investigation by HUD's inspector general.
The policy of not bothering to make sure public housing is reserved for the poor began when President Obama appointed Sandra Henriquez as the HUD assistant secretary in charge of housing projects.

I Wish I Had Never Reported My Rape
I sit in the windowless interrogation room, fingers brushing against the cool metal of handcuffs attached to the chair, and try to comprehend what the detective sitting across from me is asking.
“Were you a virgin?” he says, his lips curling slightly as he repeats the question. “Explain to me, how could you have been bleeding if you weren’t on your period? Have you had sex before?”
I feel my face flush with embarrassment as I think about how to respond. Before I can say anything, there’s a knock at the door and another officer walks in.
“The suspect’s attorney is here.”
Suspect? My stomach drops. Did he really just refer to me as a suspect?
The detective turns to his colleague.
“She agreed not to have the lawyer come in for this.”
I open my mouth to object. Our “agreement” consisted of the detective asking me why I needed a lawyer if I was innocent. Before I can speak, the other officer leaves, the door closes and it’s just me and the detective again, alone in the windowless room.
“Let me get this straight, you can’t remember how your clothes came off? Well, what were you wearing?”

Maryland High School Graduation Rate Hits Record High
Across-the-Board Improvement Registered; Dropout Rate Falls
More Maryland students are receiving their high school diplomas than ever before, according to data released today by the Maryland State Department of Education. As the graduation rate has hit record levels, the dropout rate has declined.
“Every student who graduates from high school moves a step closer to college, career, and a world of opportunities,” said State Superintendent of Schools Lillian M. Lowery. “These results show that Maryland is headed in the right direction, but we also must continue work to close gaps in graduation rates that persist among students of different backgrounds.”
The four-year cohort graduation rate reached 86.39 percent in 2014 -- more than 4 percentage points better than the 81.97 percent rate registered in 2010. The graduation rate jumped more than 1 percent over 2013, from 84.97 percent. At the same time, dropout rates have fallen to new lows.
While gaps in graduation rates between student groups remain, the numbers improved across the board in 2014:
- Four-year cohort graduation rates for American Indian, African American, Asian, Hispanic, and White students improved between 2013 and 2014, as did the rate for students identifying as two or more races.
- The graduation rate for African American students has jumped from 76.09 in 2010 to 80.54 in 2014.
3 Super Bowl Champs Challenge the NFL on Its Backwards Marijuana Policy
Super Bowl week brings back fond memories for us. We shed a lot of blood, sweat and tears to earn our Super Bowl rings.
For years, we put our bodies in harm's way in the ultimate team sport, and for many of our NFL colleagues, the physical damage done in pursuit of our dreams is often permanent, and sometimes terribly debilitating.
The NFL is the preeminent sports league in the U.S. but it is woefully behind the curve when it comes to marijuana and players are suffering as a result. Many former and current NFL players use or have used marijuana to treat pain associated with injuries sustained on the field. There is a compelling body of research showing that marijuana can help treat pain and brain injuries.

Univ. of Md. students fight for democracy following court ruling
MaryPIRG members work on “Reclaiming Our Democracy” campaign in light of Citizens United case
Five years after the Supreme Court struck down limits on corporate and union campaign spending in the Citizens United case, students at this university are fighting to undo the damage to democracy they attribute to the court’s ruling.
Members of the on-campus activist group MaryPIRG decided to work on the “Reclaiming Our Democracy” campaign as their main effort this semester after they saw the effect that the Citizens United decision had on the political process. The campaign is centered on passing a small donor-matching program in Prince George’s County that would match donations of $200 or less by ratios as high as 6 to 1.

In 2010, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission that the First Amendment prohibited corporate spending caps in elections, claiming such groups are “associations of individuals.” The court also said that spending money in elections was a part of free speech, and that limiting the amount of money a group could donate to groups independent of candidates, like super PACs, was an infringement of that right.

States Look to Tax E-Cigarettes
SUNSET, Utah— Taking a long inhale and blowing a cloud of vapor, Jason Jones, who has owned the Vapor Mania store here since 2011, considered what a tax would do to his business, which includes selling electronic cigarettes as well as manufacturing a wide variety of flavored nicotine liquids to go into them.
“I think we’d be out of business, or at least it would make it much harder to do business,” said Jones, 34. “I think it would drive people back to cigarettes because they would be cheaper.”
With an eye on the twin concerns of public health and raising revenue, Utah is one of many states considering taxing electronic cigarettes, the battery-powered devices that deliver vaporized nicotine and provide the look and feel of smoking without the smoke and tar of traditional tobacco products. Gov. Gary Herbert, a Republican, sparked this year’s debate when he included a footnote in his budget counting on $10 million from taxing e-cigarettes.
“I feel strongly that we should tax electronic cigarettes similar to the way we tax other tobacco products,” said Herbert, calling it a “public health issue.” Herbert and supportive lawmakers say a tax would slow the growing use of electronic cigarettes while raising revenue for the state.

MMR measles vaccine clinical trial results FAKED by Big Pharma - shocking U.S. court documents reveal all
(NaturalNews) While the vaccine industry is exploiting the Disneyland measles outbreak to call for widespread MMR vaccination, nobody in the mainstream media is telling you how the MMR vaccine clinical trial results were faked by Big Pharma in yet another example of runaway scientific fraud by the vaccine industry.
According to two Merck scientists who filed a False Claims Act complaint in 2010 -- a complaint which was unsealed three years ago -- vaccine manufacturer Merck knowingly falsified its mumps vaccine test data, spiked blood samples with animal antibodies, sold a vaccine that actually promoted mumps and measles outbreaks, and ripped off governments and consumers who bought the vaccine thinking it was "95% effective."
Natural News acquired that document years ago and maintains one of the very few copies in existence, as all "official" sources have tried to remove this document from human memory and bury the case.

SALISBURY, MD--- Students in Paula Morris’ advertising and promotions classes at Salisbury University raised more than $10,000 for local causes last fall.
Each semester, Morris tasks students in the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business with developing and promoting fundraisers for local charities to give them real-world experience.
“This is service learning, but it’s also a way to teach implementation of business plans,” said Morris. “The students learn that things seldom go as planned.”
Activities included everything from quarter auctions and a 5K run to teacher training for drugs and a patriotic celebration.
