Not an attempt to sound racist,but back in the day the extreme altitude jobs were typically reserved for Native Americans.Why they had/have no fear of heights is a mystery.
It is total BS. I gave a good friend, full Canadian Oneida, who as a younger man worked as an iron worker on high buildings. He did it because it paid well. End of story.

DeleteNative Americans have been known for doing high steel work in construction as early as the 1920's or so and still do.
