City Seeks Public Input at Goal Setting Session

Salisbury – Mayor Jake Day today announced that the City will hold a goal setting session this coming Friday, December 4th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Worcester Room of the Commons Building at Salisbury University. The session will be moderated by independent facilitators, Tri Community Mediation.

Community stakeholders and members of the public are invited to join the Mayor, Council, Administration, and department heads in identifying and discussing city goals for the coming years. Citizen input is strongly encouraged.

“It is important to me that our councilmembers, department heads, community partners, and the public identify what they want our city to achieve in the coming years,” said Mayor Day. “This is a team effort.”

For more information on the goal setting session, contact the Mayor’s office at 410-548-3100.

  2. He was elected... anyway... At least Day is involving the public in government.

  4. Help city residents who live next to foreclosed properties get something done with the properties. Tear them down would be a good start, especially when they are so neglected.

  9. These goal setting sessions have always been a joke. Only "public" that counts is the Realtors' PACs.

  10. I have to work that day. Are only the unemployed invited? Why not have the meeting after work so the real stakeholders can give input?

Oh, you don't want to hear from US!

  11. Day was not elected, period. He was handed the Mayor's Office - not one person had to vote and he still had the job.

  12. Well, at least your article tells the public where it will be held. Daily times story was awful.
