OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — The Baltimore Ravens have been losing close games all season. Their latest defeat was the cruelest of them all — in part because it involved an officiating error.
The NFL acknowledged Monday that Jacksonville should have been penalized on the play that preceded its game-winning field goal Sunday. Although the Jaguars were not set before hurriedly snapping the ball with one second on the lock, the officials allowed the play to be run.
Baltimore linebacker Elvis Dumervil subsequently grabbed quarterback Blake Bortles’ facemask while making a tackle, giving Jacksonville one more play with the clock at 0:00.

ReplyDeleteBest teams - I don't think so
ReplyDeleteRefs gave them a super bowl. So no complaining.
ReplyDeleteNot too mention Ray Lewis got away with murder. Then won a SUPER BOWL by the refs who can't see a guy getting mugged in the end zone. Ravens had their breaks. Besides who in the hell wants to go to Baltimore? ??
DeleteScrew um, there is nothing good in Baltimore.
ReplyDeleteonly ignorant and poorly sourced people maintain that Ray Lewis killed somebody... fact is he refused to co-operate with Police in an incident where his entourage was attacked by some criminal Akron thugs who smashed a champagne bottle over one guy's head ..took a beating then they shot rounds into the Limo Lewis was in... racism fosters uninformed people as experts..he was convicted for exactly the crime he committed..the trial was covered by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution..do a search of their archives or maybe you just want to stay ignorant
