HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTINGS ACROSS DELMARVA
The holiday season is well underway on Delmarva, which means it’s time for our annual roundup of the area’s holiday tree lightings! Each of our local towns plays host to their own holiday celebrations, which typically begins with an annual Christmas Tree Lighting. Of course, it’s impossible to hit them all, but we will certainly try. Take a look and start making your plans for a little festive holiday fun!
Berlin
Friday, November 27 – The Town of Berlin has several holiday celebrations lined up, starting this Friday, November 27 with the town’s annual Holiday Arts Night. The festivities begin at 5:30pm, with shops and restaurants featuring artists and specials. Activities will also be available throughout downtown, including a live jazz performance at the Berlin Visitors’ Center. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will also be available for photos with children before the tree lighting. Be on the lookout for the three ice sculptures as well, two of which are pre-made and a third that will be sculpted in front of the crowds. Of course the highlight of the evening will be the tree lighting, which will take place in front of the Atlantic Hotel at 7:30pm.
Snow Hill
Tuesday, December 1 – In Snow Hill, the holiday season will officially begin on Tuesday, December 1 with the annual tree lighting in Byrd Park on Market Street. Holiday lights will illuminate at 5:30. Participants are also invited to hang red ribbon bows on the Town Tree. The event will also include seasonal music, holiday readings, and an appearance by Santa Claus.
