    1. Because the teachers won't give up a professional day, pretty sad.

  2. It is disgusting to know that it had to be ordered. Memorial day and Veterans day should be an automatic.

  4. Obama would have ordered this if a black singer overdosed on drugs. Oh, that's right, he already did.

  5. The flags should stay at full staff for Veterans Day. It is the day to honor those who still are and have served. It is a celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

Memorial Day is the day to remember those who had died, that is when the flag should be flown at half staff.

So often people get these two different days mixed up. Again, the Governor did the right thing. He should have sent out a message for everyone to fly more flags.

  6. Larry, please send a memo directly to the Civic Center staff next year with a request for a receipt.
