Though GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump was initially seen as strong on the economy, recent events have pushed him stronger into the lead on foreign policy, historian and Reagan biographer Craig Shirley tells Newsmax TV.
"Trump, as ironic as it seemed to be originally that his strongest message was economic, and now it seems to be appearing to be on foreign policy," Shirley said Monday on "Newsmax Prime."
Voters understand the difference between so-called foreign policy experience and being strong in foreign policy, Shirley said, and Trump is currently coming across strongest on foreign policy, vowing to keep terrorism out of the United States.
