A Viewer Writes: Veterans Day

Tomorrow we celebrate all veterans, but today is OUR birthday the 240'th birthday of the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS, the greatest fighting unit this country has ever seen. Many have attempted, but fewer succeed. 

I am proud to have served in such an elite company of men.     Sound prejudiced towards the corps? Most marines are so, to all jarheads out there, Semper Fi and God Bless America. Special rememberence goes to the boots who, like I, graduated from Paris Island in the late 60's. Been there, done that.

    Tomorrow is who's holiday, the White veterans, or the Black veteran's?
    Since they now have their own Veteran's organization, for Blacks only, I was just wondering.

    the above remark about whose holiday it is is not worthy of a remark we all bleed the same let's keep racism out of veteran's day celebrations and be thankful for being able to live in this great country,right or wrong

    We were always told there is only one color in the Corp and that is Green, Some marines are Light green and Some are Dark Green,But all are Green Semper Fi.
