BETHESDA, Md. — Montgomery County is hosting a display that honors and thanks Marylanders who served in the military during the Vietnam era.
The MPT Salutes Vietnam Veterans Traveling Exhibit is currently at the Bethesda Library and will remain there until Oct. 19. After that, it will be at the Rockville Library through Nov. 9.
“I love the fact that it has veterans’ pictures and their stories,” says Nancy Benner, agency manager of the Bethesda Library. “It’s important for public libraries to be a forum or a venue for this kind of exhibit, and especially for this issue of honoring Vietnam veterans,” Benner adds.

Good for them! What are Shore towns and counties doing to finally "Welcome Home" our Vietnam Veterans?
ReplyDeleteAs a refugee from Viet Nam I find this offensive. I served in the army fighting you American's that invaded my country and this reminder of that war offends me. Take it down, we all need to just forget it. The future is what counts, not the past.
