Pay no attention to any major historical figures who were VERY familiar with tyranny and overbearing government, and who actually fought and died resisting it, so we could have what we have today. Which would REALLY piss them off. keep cheering.

The quote here is spurious and not completely correct. what Washington is actually in the text of his speech is, "A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent of others for essential, particularly military, supplies."
