Harold Schlumberg - An Inspiration To Us All
As we get older we sometimes begin to doubt our ability to make a difference in the world. It is at these times that our hopes are boosted by the remarkable achievements of other
seniors who have found the courage to take on challenges that would make many of us wither.
seniors who have found the courage to take on challenges that would make many of us wither.
Harold Schlumberg is such a person.
QUOTE FROM HAROLD: “I've often been asked, '...
What do you old folks do now that you're retired?'
Well, I stay active and happy. I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background and one of the things I enjoy most is converting beer and scotch into urine. Then I take a jog out to the shed and piss on a picture of Obama. I do this several times every day. I really enjoy it and get my exercise too!”
Now you know what every other retired person also does.
ReplyDeleteAs funny as this is, my 87 y.o. father and 86 y.o. mother reflect Harold's attitude, minus the booze. My parents and myself will be voting a straight Republican ticket, top to bottom in November, NO exceptions.
ReplyDelete1037, please do not ignore the independent candidates. If you know your district will lean R, then contemplate making a showing among your neighbors that Independents are sometimes much more deserving of the job as anyone, and are really a viable choice.
ReplyDeleteWhen there becomes a third choice over the old, failed R/D ignorance and a third party comes into contention, there may be a game on.
We can only hope. Vote wisely.
Well said. Voting a "straight ticket" is foolish.
