A Viewer Informs Us A Fruitland Jogger Was Killed On Meadowbridge Rd. Last Night
A resident of Fruitland was killed by a vehicle last night while training for a triathlon. We are still awaiting a Press Release. In the mean time we will not release the name until the release comes out. We're told it happened around 7:30 last night.
Thanks for the play-by-play editorial. But you know what happened? Do you know if the vehicle slid off the road and hit the runner? Was the car speeding?
For some reason every time I read your statement I can imagine it being said in your best goofy voice. Open your eyes while you're driving if you can't see people you should not be driving after dark.
3:56 PM Is that a known fact or a rumor? Either way until the police finish their investigation perhaps speculations would be best left unwritten. Sadly many times the rumors are what is remembered, instead of the truth.
Truly sad, but that road is nowhere to be running in the dark unless you get off the roadway when you hear a car or truck. WE CAN'T SEE YOU!
ReplyDeleteBecause you are speeding and drunk.

DeleteIt't always dark on Meadowbridge Rd.
ReplyDeleteToo young. Tragic for his young childrenm
ReplyDeleteI'm sure as an experienced athlete training for a run,he had reflecting paint or some other visibility aid on his clothing to jog in the dark.
ReplyDeleteThe driver of the pickup truck has now been identified. He has a past history of multiple driving infractions in addition to drug convictions.
ReplyDelete9:26 Lot of good being visible did him.
