Ireton, who originally ran for Mayor of Salisbury played the very people who had enough influence to get him elected and as soon as he won, he turned on ALL of them. Sound familiar Louise?
They are methodically working Salisbury voters back to the three ring circus in which Ireton knows he can't win a Mayoral race, so he'll run for City Council with the hope he'll become Council President.
Two things will then happen. IF Jake Day doesn't do everything Ireton wants him to do, well, he'll simply refuse to allow items into the agenda and everything Day brings to the table will get immediately dropped.
HOWEVER, let's just say Day and Ireton are working together. Well, then you'll see everything rubber stamped and it will be sunshine and rainbows for the entire City.
Don't pull the sheet over your heads Ladies & Gentlemen. You are being played.

ReplyDeleteIreton will not be elected to the council if there is another viable candidate. He will not be elected mayor with Day running for that position. Ireton as a mayor candidate last time was the candidate of last resort for many voters. He has a good chance of being out of Salisbury politics this time and I hope he is out.
ReplyDeleteIf Laura Mitchell and Shanie Shields can get re-elected don't be surprised if Irelton can earn a spot on the council. Salisbury voters are absolutely clueless. Salisbury had Terry Cohen and Debbie Campbell, true representative to the people who worked hard to change the direction of Salisbury. However the "DUMB" voters of Salisbury were to stupid to realize how good they both were. Salisbury politics much like Wicomico County politics "stink" People have their heads in the sand or their heads up their rear end.

I don't agree with everything that comes out of their mouths. I have a rule about ANY politician....don't believe them. But being gay makes you no better or worse that being a woman or being African American or being Indian. Its simply one part of who you are.

ReplyDeleteHe might be going against Andy Harris next year for 2016, campaigns for 2016 are starting know and the only well know democrats on the eastern shore is Jim Mathis, Jim ireton, Rick pollitt, and ocean city mayor. So Ireton might be running for congress.

Jake Gay has big signs all over Bill Martin's ERA Real Estate business on the corner on Rt. 50 and East Main Street. Bill Martin pimped for Jake Gay and illegally put Elect Jake Gay on his electronic billboard sign.
