State of emergency issued in St. Louis County, Mo.

St. Louis County, Mo. has issued a state of emergency following a spate of violence amid protests marking the one-year anniversary of the death of Michael Brown.

“In light of last night’s violence and unrest in the City of Ferguson, and the potential for harm to persons and property, I am exercising my authority as county executive to issue a state of emergency, effective immediately,” St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger said in a statement obtained by FOX2.

Stenger said Police Chief Jon Belmar will have the authority to “exercise all powers and duties necessary to preserve order, prevent crimes, and protect the life and property of our citizens.”

  2. So basically, you just said publicly you will allow cops to shoot more people in which will keep the flames going...

These dumb criminals should at least set fire to the police station and their cars and especially the MRAPS or mine resistant tanks...

Take it out on the people who are causing all of this, the cops... Don't go looting innocent peoples businesses or homes or cars... Don't go shooting people and don't go beating on people who are innocent...

The cops are the ones beating you, shooting you in the back and abuse your rights... Go after them, let them see what they are causing and maybe, I mean just maybe the will see the light, but don't hold your breath...

Did you even read anything? The police were chasing the guy after he had fired into a van. They chased him....fired at them and they shot him.

  5. Folks, there is a bigger picture here and please listen to me. The people who were peacefully gathered here are not the problem. There are paid outside agitators causing the unrest just like they did in the Salisbury Christmas parade. Just like Obama said about the Fergenson riots last time, "Just let them hold their ground". There is a movement to cause disobedience so that Obama can declare Martial Law.

  7. Ground zero for ground zero. I hope those cops wipe them all out. Clean the city up with a blood bath. Show these mongrels what can and will happen to them and for tearing up the city. For their consistent acts of violence that's become their normal everyday lives.

  8. Lets just keep ripping the scab off this wound year after year....yeah...that will heal. Powers to be don't want this to heal...they are using this as a platform and the minions are only too happy to loot and have fun helping them.

  9. Real simple solution - tell the nice people (quietly and secretly) to get out by Friday....Saturday morning, drop a bomb in the middle of thug-ville and be done with it.
